It's made from 3/4" thick, sanded oak plywood, VERY sturdy, stained with red oak stain and two coats of polyeurthene to seal in humidity in the cage.  Best of all, it's completely break-downable without worrying about damaging the wood.  I'll take more detailed shots this weekend of the bolts to show you just how this is possible.  The track is glued in with nail glue (so no, it's not coming out unless you had a LARGE monitor and even then with this size of a cage you shouldn't have anything that big in it) and we have 1/4-1/2" thick plexiglas (the second strongest kind from Home Depot)..I'll check it this weekend to see the exact thickness. ;)

 

Again, we will be building many, many more cages of this type and other sizes, shapes and such for multiple types of habitats.  Eventually, we will have package deals as well with just cages, fully furnished and the like! :)
